The design of your quilt is beautiful and so perfect for a modern finish. I have been noticing so many modern quilts are being quilted with straight line designs-sometimes the lines are even and regularly spaced and sometimes they are a bit more random. They are very striking and I'm sure would well with your lovely quilt. Please post the final outcome and I, for one, will be anxious to see it.

As a hand quilter, I would pull out my many templates and fill in those spaces with designs. This would follow the example of the machine quilters' techniques, but you would find a less flat affect to the quilt top. Stitching around the colored designs would puff them out and bring them to the fore front, thus emphasizing them on the quilt.
