After reading about all the neat old Singers on here, I got curious about my Mom's old machine. I took a look at it today and found out that it was made in 1955 in Elizabeth, NJ. Serial number is AL984970 and it seems to be a model 15. I'm curious how I go about getting a replacement owners manual? I checked the Singer website but must not be doing something right about ordering the manual. Were all manuals for model 15 the same? Thanks for all your information!!!

    http://www.a1sewingmachine.com/manuals.htm

Try here there is a listing in PDF for a #15.

When I got a manual for my 99 I just copied out the pages I needed like how to thread and run the bobbin winder. It's easier than downloading several pages.

Go to the ismacs site. type in manuals and look for yours. These manuals are free and you can copy then print them.
