You can also treat your own fabric with a homemade bubblejet set solution. I just did a search for a recipe and found several variations on the same ingredients.
thequiltrat one calls for 1 Tablespoon of soda ash (you can get it at craft shops that sell fabric dying supplies) plus 2 tablespoons of alum (used for pickle making and dying) and one cup of hot water. Mix in a large bowl as it fizzes, then soak fabric and let dry. Cut fabric into 9x12 pieces and press onto freezer wrap and cut to 8 1/2 by 11 to fit printer and hand feed one at a time. Let the ink "set" for several hours, then remove freezer wrap and rinse in cold water and press.
The variation adds a capful of liquid fabric softner with the above ingredients. I haven't tried this yet, but the site showed side by side comparisons with the commercially made product.

I did not know but on amazon they sell the fabric on a roll with paper on the back for the ink jet.. and they sell the stuff to set it too.. the paper price is not that bad.. PhotoFabric 100% Cotton Poplin Roll. I think I am going to try some.
