I would have serious reservations about a goverment surplus "Bernina". The goverment procures everything over a certain $ amount by bid , and low bid is always the winner. Never have I seen a Bernina be the lowest price machine. There is something that just does not seem quite right. Did you get a model number? That is really the only way to start any comparatives or do any research as to potential value.
