Ok...I'm still new to this board. I still have issues desribing myself as a patchworker/quilter. I still think of myself as a cross-stitcher first.
Why oh why am I planning my fornight holiday around making a quilt???
I want to spend at least one day driving in the dandenong ranges (vic, aust) looking for/at antique and quilt shops.
I need to ensure I have enough tree green fat quarters before I start my holidays (in 2 weeks) so that I can stitch it while on holidays. I am not thinking about the cross-stitching I can do..just the patchwork....
Shopping this afternoon, I was drawn to a child's book in the aisle in the supermarket - and I picked it up, read it (twice) and thought ... "Oh I could SO stitch a quilt on this book!!"
So now I have to save up to buy a copy of the book to keep as an inspiration for another quilt.
I still haven't plotted out my 'Arabian nights' quilt and here I am planning another one...
    the shame of it all...

Enjoy the holidays and the Dandenongs - maybe the William Ricketts Sanctuary for inspiration? Newbie too - nice to see another Aussie here

The only cure for what ails you is fabric! Go get some more. You will feel better.

My DD still contends that we all need a "12 step program" for our quilting . I said No, that's why we don't need a 12 step program, because we have the quilting board members and we quilt...sometimes it is more looking at fabric online, somedays it is sitting at the sewing machine and like yesterday the whole day revolved trying to get the iron to my kids quilt so I could press and put together....Oh, well, today is a brand new day. I did get the iron into the same room as the machine and the quilt. Maybe today after soccer practice. Have a great day. Hope I don't have to stop at the QS on the way home from soccer practice...HA HA

Welcome aboard to the most addicting habit that I know of. Don't look for a cure cause we don't want one.
