It doesn't matter. I don't want anyone to go out and buy something special. I can always cut the block down and put a border on it that is not broadcloth.

Maybe the rest of the ladies in our group can decide what they want me to do. I can make another if need be.

Cordelia I didn't draw up the pattern, it is by Debbie Mumm (evidently my favorite because I do alot of her stuff) I took the center design off of her "Raffle Quilt" in her book Project Kids.

Terri, I wouldn't have a clue if the broadcloth would make a difference..I know it wouldn't to me..but I guess Judy and the others will have to say.

I bought the fabric for my 2nd center yesterday. I'm excited!!!!! I think it will be pretty too. When we were about to leave for my sewing lesson, I sat down to make a list of stuff I needed and DH said----"You need to buy MORE stuff?????"   I just smiled sweetly and said, "Of course, we ARE going to the quilt store, aren't we??"

The broadcloth is a little thicker.
I think it might make a difference tho.

It just all depends since you (Sandpat) will be the first one to work on it. I don't think it'll make a difference to the ones after you.

Well, Terri...to me it should be your decision..its your quilt and you will end up being the one who lives with it in the long run (although it will be soo pretty several of us may want to keep it!) If you will be fine with it...leave it. If you won't, then change it. Bernadette (my machine) can handle anything
