I think your center turned out absolutely beautiful. I was taken by the rose blocks they are lovely.
If you are still unhappy with it when the borders are added you might applique another rose to the white or embroider something there. I think its stunning as is.

In a fit of "I hate my seam ripper" I threw out the center I was working on. I started a new one last night.

For some reason I am having a hard time focusing, on this project.

I'm in your group and I love it. If you truly can't live with it applique on it.

Hopefully you just threw it into the...oh drat..I'll try to do something else with this hateful thing later pile! You'll be able to focus when you are working on the right center for you...you'll find it..don't give up..all your stuff is soo beautiful, I bet even this one you threw away is fantastic.

Yeah I threw it into that "I don't know what to do with it" pile. lol

I just finished up 144 HSTs for the new center I am working on. I love the new colors. So I guess I just wasn't working on what I wanted.

Calico, you might take a bit of embroidery floss and stitch in a little rose right into that white center. You you're worried about how it will look you could try tracing the rose in the center of your stars or personally I like to use cookie cutters for patterns.

I love those stars though, you did a great job. :D
