Twinkie this is one of the best posts i have read in a LONG TIME! so many people out there (myself included at times, hanging head) think that it has to be new to be good. you just proved everyone wrong! we live on a disability pension and payment plans are not an option for us either. you just proved there is more than one way to skin a cat, yo0u don't have to keep up with the Jones's you just keep up! i love what you have done and your hubby is a dream! it's the inside happiness that counts and i'm so very happy for you! i remember when you worked your fanny off to get donations for that gal whose house had burned down due to her iron and she burned her feet so badly on the melting carpet. you deserve this and it's fabulous!!! i want a Grace frame for hand quilting, my neighbor got one, it is gorgeous. and also $500. a friend of ours is going to build me one for little to nothing. I am sure its not going to be pretty at all but it will be functional! have a VERY blessed day!

I'd say that you scored big time and that your DH is one very inventive and talented guy. I'm happy for you that you were able to accomplish your goal with a minimal amount of money. With my DH and myself on SS, I understand the financial limitations of living on a fixed income. Congratulations on a job well done.

You and your husband are an inspiration to us all! Him for being willing to figure out how to please you and you for appreciating him. and I think your quilting long arm is wonderful. I hope you have a great time learning those muscle movements the longarmers have mastered!

What a beautiful set-up, especially Lavender Linda (or whatever you will name her). Hugs to your husband for his creativity and his support of you and your hobby!

Wow! Necessity is the mother of invention, and your husband is clearly the father! What a guy! I can only imagine how proud you both are of what you've created here. The machine alone is a beaut! CONGRATULATIONS!

Wow, I am so impressed. Your husband is so innovative and what great use of what was available to make something totally new. Keep us posted on your quilting progress and don't look outside your door. There may be a line forming! How precious must be your husband and you must be a precious wife for him to want to please you so. Inspiring.
