I love your setup. Your husband is wonderful for helping you get all set up. Try meandering stitch, that's where I started and seems to work for me. I just want some quilts quilted and others I want fancy done. A finished quilt is a UFO no more!!!
Also there are some helpful groups on Yahoo as well.

Tell your husband he is a sweetheart of a guy to do all that so you can enjoy your hobby more. It looks terrific to me. I know you will have many lovely years playing with it.

You have inspired me to start loving what I have rather than what I cannot afford to own. Thank you so much for that! My hubby is a lot like yours in that he can figure things out and come up with ideas that work. In fact, he likes to have to use his brain like that.

Twinkie, I love stories with a happy ending. Thank you for sharing yours. I'm so happy that your dream of owning a quilting machine has come true. Your husband's part in making this happen for you is an act of true love.
Your purple machine is beautiful. It is the prettiest machine I have ever seen. May you enjoy many hours of quilting your own quilts.
