I agree. Still have it on my non skid Omni grid ruler. Wonder if it is just vinyl fabric. I find that the Omni grip rulers are best but then, the green backing non skid component DOES EVENTUALLY WEAR OFF!!

I have used Invisigrip, sandpaper dots and Grip Strips and like the Grip Strips best.

I'm in the minority too. I had invisigrip on a few of my rulers and hated it. I took it off and threw it away. I really like the new no slip rulers but I have a lot of older rulers and I can't afford to just replace them all. I had read somewhere that curad first aid tape (the clear one) worked well. I was having trouble with my tri recs ruler slipping (working on clue 1 of Bonnie Hunter's new mystery). I stuck a couple of small pieces of the curad tape on it and it worked like a charm! Better than anything else I have tried and less expensive than most options!

I have Invisigrip on one of my large rulers and really like it alot. For those 'dot' fans, I learned in my long arm new owners class, about skate board deck tape. Get the clear kind. Its not sand paper, but feels like it. Sticky on one side, rough on the other. I got a half sheet and I think he charged me $3. I was getting it for my long arm templates, but have tried it on small cutting templates as well with success. I showed him pictures of the long arm and he was facinated that a skate board item was being used by a quilter! ( just cut little pieces and I will have this to share for a LONG time! lol)

I used it for awhile and it worked fairly well. (it's like cling wrap) and most of my rulers are now OmniGrip and they pretty much stay put.

Works great - we've had it on our shop rulers for 5 years now and it still works fine. You need to follow the instructions when installing though, or it may not adhere correctly. If you do follow the instructions, it should last indefinitely.

Right after I started quilting, I tried the Invisigrip on the Marti Michell templates, but the templates still slipped, so I took it off, threw it away and never tried it again. I tried the sandpaper dots, which work really well, but the templates and rulers had to be picked up instead of sliding over the fabric. I really like the Creative Grids rulers and am slowly replacing all my rulers with those as lines wear off and rulers get broken. I like the idea of the Curad clear tape and will try that, too.
