We travel overseas almost every year and whatever I have downloaded to my Kindle is also on our iPad, so my DH has a choice of reading (the ONLY time he ever reads is on long plane flights.) It is also great to have for communicating with home provided we are in a WiFi area. We have an older iPad so are missing some of the fun features, but we use it every day. Oh, one thing I really like is being able to catch up on programs, like tv shows from PBS that the rest of the family is not interested in. The screen is gorgeous. And then there is Words with Friends.....

I never turn on a computer anymore unless I need flash (I have iPad original) or need to update iPad software. I have digital quilt magazines, books, patterns....quilt board and all my shopping. It goes everywhere with me.

so haven't had much luck. I guess I don't know how to use it I guess I just dont know how to use it. If anybody has

Get the Evernote app. Also put it on your pc and laptop. It will automatically sync with ipad and you can print from the pc without having to purchase an air printer!

These two that I downloaded are free, go to app store and search quilting, there are lots more!

LLWinston44: I did it, took some time, but I got a photo up! PM if you need help!

I would love to have an iPad, but opted for a Dell Mini-10 instead. I didn't like the virtual keyboard on the iPad and the printing problems. The mini-10 is larger, but still fits into my tote bags and some of my purses. I use it for listening to books while quilting and watching quilting tutorials while at the sewing machine in addition to other usual computer stuff. Might be a good option for those who are not Mac savvy. I would still like to have an iPad because I am a gadget junkie!

I love my iPad I use it for magazines. Now you can get stitches from interweave mag. I also have quilt apps I have quilting arts app. I also do collages for my blog and email them to my desktop to post. It's the greatest.
It's also awesome for the children my granddaughter has learned so much from it.

I don't worry about it crashing because it's all on my laptop it gets plugged in and stored. Plus some of the apps have it stored on there site.
