Iron-On Quilt Labels
#1
I had purchased a package of June Tailor Iron-On Quilt Label Fabric Sheets (for ink jet printers)...made the first label but didn't use it because:
1 - the fabric seems very stiff and I didn't know if it would soften up appropriately (it would feel rough on the quilt)
2 - I read the laundering instructions: May be washed by hand in cold water. Use a small amount of liquid fabric softener in water if soiled. DO NOT USE DETERGENT. [emphasis mine]...
HUH? How can you gift a quilt that cannot be washed in detergent???
Has anybody used this product?

I used those same iron ons and I never looked at the washing directions - I ironed it on then stitched around the edges and threw it in the washer with soap - turned out fine and not stiff - usually I am a stickler for directions guess this time it worked out better not reading them.
