Nanny's dollface

I am in search of an iron that stays hot or at least heats up quickly after an auto shut off. I have a Sunbeam Master Steam, a dry Sunbeam, and a Panasonic. None of these functions to my expectations.
Any suggestions or are my expectations too high?

My all time favorite iron is an under $10 Rival from WallyWorld. It does NOT have auto shut off. So be careful!

It's on the same extension cord as my machine which I always unplug after use.

I love my Oliso that stays hot for 30 minutes, and heats up quickly. I used the dark yellow commercial for several years and just bought myself the pink one as a breast cancer survivor

I have a EuroPro which I use steam. It does not have an auto shut off, but to conserve water/steam, I turn off when I am done pressing and doing some sewing. Usually chain piecing. So when I get up to clip threads and such, I turn it back on again and it heats up quite quickly. Initial heat-up does take some time though.

I have a Procter Silex model 17135. It does not shut off. I LOVE it.

I also got an inexpensive iron from Walmart that doesn't turn off. It was maybe 6$. I bought it because I didn't want to use my Oliso as a travel iron. This is awful, but I like it more than my expensive irons in some ways. It gets hot,hot,hot and it doesn't shut off.

I have the yellow Oliso that stays on / hot for 30 minutes and absolutely LOVE IT!

Thanks everyone. I will go to WM and find an iron that does not have an auto shut off ...the cheaper the better.

I have an old Rowenta that I got from Goodwill for $5. It doesn't shut off. It's a pretty heavy iron though. Some people like that, some don't.

I see irons all the time at the thrift stores...right next to the crock pots.

I have the PAnasonic 360 Cordless (my Christmas present to myself this year) cost me $100 on ebay and it's fabulous It does have an auto shut off but heats up in 8 seconds
