Let's just say I discovered it still plugged in at least three days later. Iron still works but I did a slow melt down thinking of what could have happened and thanked God it did not. I do not ever turn my irons off. I make an effort to unplug them. A quick glance and I know it is off.

I bought a cheap GE at Walmart for $21, now they have some for $10??? Mine shuts off after 1 hr, even if in use. But with the 1hr window, it's not too bad. Comes with a 2 yr. warranty, and this is my 2nd one, 1st one pooped out b4 2 yrs., so took it back and got a new one. I've had 2 Rowentas, and they both had short lives....wouldn't buy one again.
