I made my dd a turning twenty quilt for her 28th BD. It was the first quilt she had seen that I had machine quilted. She received it yesterday. She called and left a message. "Mom, I got my package. I love everything. But, I really, really love my quilt. My friends were over and they were oohing and ahhing. I really love it. Call me back." Ok, I admit it, I am already teary eyed. I call and the first thing she says is how awesome the quilt is. She tells me her friends all want to buy one(not happening). She says that she got out the other two quilts that she has. (8th and 16th Birthdays) She is so excited I am now crying. Mainly because she loved it so much and because she is just too far away. (NYC) Then she totally cracks me up. "You know Mom, you have really gotten better".
After 20 years, I would hope so.

A call like that makes it worth it. I'm so happy for both of you.

That is wonderful. It makes all the work worthwhile if they really love it.

Isn't it amazing how wonderful we feel when someone else loves our quilts . And I think it is great that she still has the other quilts and keeps them close to her , in NYC and not stored somewhere else ( usualy moms house LOL )

That really makes you feel proud when someone really likes what you make.
