The replies here are oranges and apples. Most are talking about small crib blankets for NICU whereas the question, as I understand it, was about a blackout cover to encase a full incubator unit for babies whose very immature eyes may be permanently damaged by light. If I was making one of the latter I would do it very carefully, bearing in mind the functional aspect. There may also be issues with odd shaping to accommodate tubes and wires etc.
