I know that you are excited, no wonder you couldn't sleep. Hope you find lots of nice fabric.

I've never been to a sale that advertised fabric and not been able to at least see it. I've been watched like a hawk when I went through boxes because they didn't want any "mixing and matching" going on, but at least I knew what I was getting. I'm with you, I do garment sewing but I wouldn't have taken the chance either.

I'm sorry for your disappointment. I see people's great finds all the time on the QB but I was getting pretty envious of them. And then, lo and behold, last weekend there was a big garage sale just down the road from me and I was just about ready to leave and saw a couple of boxes. You wouldn't believe my find....fabric. I can't tell you how much I got plus a ruler for just $3. They're going to have another one this coming weekend and they said they thought there was more fabric to be brought out. So guess where I'm going to be Friday morning.

The weekend of the 14th & 15th we went to several garage sales and I picked up about 20 yards of good quilting cotton for $15. This weekend we went to 22 garage/estate sales and only found a couple of pieces of fabric. You just never know but we enjoy the outing....can't afford to travel so it is our "traveling".

Ladies, this doesn't have anything to do with fabric from a garage sell but maybe just as interesting. My sources tell me that some of the Wal-Mart stores are reconsidering the removing of the fabric departments from their stores because this isn't what the people want.I was told our local Wal-Mart will not loose their fabric department and that they have even applied to bring back there gun section for the men.About time these big business learn where their money comes from.Women are the ones who spend most of the money. If anyone tells myDH that, I'll deny it.LOL

I agree with you Colleen. Nothing up here in South Queensland either. It makes me jealous seeing all that fabric found in America.
