Last weekend, I asked this board for your opinion on two fabrics I purchased with the same print but different background. The outpouring of suggestions, encouragement and support was amazing.

Well, on Labor Day, dh and I went shop hopping (by accident) for the Quilt Across Texas. We went to 6 shops that day in Region 8. Today, I took the day off and dh and I went shop hopping again to another 5 shops in our Region.

This board MADE me (my arm was twisted by all of the suggestions and pictures you posted here when I was doing my research - lol - ) buy the following:

    bow tuck pattern
    mini bow tuck pattern
chic newsboy cap pattern (i know it is not a beach hat but it was too cute to pass up)
    BQ and BQ2 patterns
fusible fleece for bow tuck patterns
    fusible interfacing for cap pattern
plus fabric I just had to have

Also, for those of you who made it to the quilt shop in Port Lavaca before me, I want my funny ladies fabric back (lol). I get to the shop today and lo and behold it is all gone. The owner stated that she had a run on the last of the fabric within the week. I started laughing when dh says, "Your friends got to it before you. This will teach you to tell your friends where you got your fabric." We were laughing so hard.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! If it was not for you all or as I say it ya'll, I would not be venturing out of my comfort zone and trying different techniques and patterns.

It's all this board's fault. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I will post pictures once I have completed my projects.

    Have a great weekend!

It appars you really had a great time while you were off. Glad you were able to get multiple patterns and fabric as winter will be here soon and everyone should be stocked up and ready to quilt.

Over a 100 views and no one is admitting to the fabric snatching - lol.

Yes, dh and I had a great time Monday and today. We are thinking about continuing with 2 of the last 3 tomorrow.

Yes, the patterns and fabric are great assets to my stash. I cannot wait to start working on them.

Oh - I have been to the shop in Port Lavaca! Nice place :-)

Winter of 2009 we spent a month in Port O'Connor and Port Lavaca is where you go to the Walmart and the good seafood market!
