Blocking and trimming should straighten it up. The pressman must have been working overtime when he loaded up that job! You can always add stuff to make it bigger once you get it square.

If not, I would, then I would trim things up to match.

What I've done with a couple of fleece quilts/blankets is to cut the backing larger so that it can be wrapped to the front for a border and binding - no fringes.
Fleece sometimes gets stretched when put on a bolt -- so I second the washing. I always wash and dryer dry the fleece to make sure it is relaxed before doing anything with it that requires precision.

It is still off!!!!!! I guess this won't be my DGDs birthday present on Aug. 1st  I'm going to think about this. I might make the back all crooked. :) Maybe a christmas present? Do ya'll have any other ideas?

I don't know how to help you but I hope you are able to resolve the problem. It's very pretty and I know your DGD would love it.

sadly, this is a fleece thing! I know how to fix it, but it is hard to put into words.
you have to cut it off at an angle and sew a NEW piece on it to make it square..but you have to do it to all four sides to make it look intentional! It will have a pinwheel look when done... [/] sort of like this!
