this morning I tried to get my brush cutter started -- it has carburator trouble -- no go. So I picked up brush and goldenrod I cut earlier in the week.

This afternoon I started sewing the sashing on the blocks I found in a box stored in the garage. They look great -- I can't wait to finish more. I have 50 blocks -- I did 24 of them.

Yesterday I oiled my FW 221. I've had it 12 years -- used it only a couple years. And NEVER oiled it. Thanks to the board, I found that I should oil it frequently. It hums softly now --

I will tackle the rest of the blocks another time, for my sanity's sake. :)

    What are you sewing today?
Are we working on the same quilt? LOL. I'm ripping the binding in several spots because the edge of the backing is showing like big pleats underneath. Never happened before. Grrr.

Still quilting away at the Log Cabin I'm making for DH. I'm on a mission- I would SO love to have it done for our anniversary (mid-Sept.) but just don't know if it's possible. Trying hard, though!

Busy day here - cut and made binding for a lap quilt when I ran down to swap laundry! Got everyone's uniforms for school set. Took boys to birthday party.

It's 7:15pm and I'm ready to head to my sewing zone. Need to make a backing - going to try the John Flynn Diagonal piecing method. Then I'm going to try my hand at spray basting.

After than, it's on to finish a children's charity quilt so I can turn it in at Church in the morning.

If it's not too late after that I'm going to start piecing my already cut out Dresden Plates for the Fall Dresden Plate Swap here on the QB.

Yikes! I need to get moving!

No sewing - went fabric shopping. Pretty much took up the whole day. Enjoyed every minute of it.

For your sake I sincerely hope not! LOL I'm about to give up on this thing - three hours and two blocks later I am just over it. At least for today. :)
