Consider yourself "multi-talented!" Okay, you have more than one thing going at once...doesn't that make you special??

that's the problem, they're all in various stages, but none seem to get finished. I just went through a box of all the little pieces that were left over from other quilts and started cutting for a jacob's ladder quilt. that one I know is going to take a while though as I need about 1000 1 1/2 inch blocks along with a bunch of other pieces. I'm waiting on batting and backing for 2 of them so some will get finished soon as I can't wait to put it on my bed!

I am usually (hand) quilting on one quilt while piecing by
machine on another. However, I have several totes with what
I need for other quilts. This doesn't bother me, because
in my mnd's eye I know how I want a certain quilt to look,
and I can't always find just exactly the fabric I'm looking
for. I am fortunate to have a fabric shop in our small town
of 9,000, and I like everything about it...but she doesn't
stock the same things as some other shops. Also have a shop
a 10 miles from me. She carries different lines of fabric
They are both wonderful shops. My next choice is an hour
away and I keep a list of what I want from that shop and
make my trip once a year (she gives you a percentage off of
half your age, on everythng you buy on one trip in). That
way I can justify the gasoline by my savings. I just have
to plan ahead for what I want to make, so it doesn't bother
me at all to have them sitting here ready to go.
I've quit buying for my 'stash' as leftovers seem to
take care of adding to that.

I don't like the chaotic feeling of having too many projects going at once. I've discovered that if I just group the upcoming projects in project bags and limit myself to no more than 2 or 3 actually cut out and in progress, I'm not too stressed. I have 2 little kids and a 3rd kid in his 40s so I have to organize myself if I want to keep my sanity :)

I usually have several projects going at once, usually in various stages. One paper pieced, on traditional piecing...one that may still need to be quilted and another that needs bound. That way I can work on whatever strikes my mood. At least that's my story (and I'm sticking to it!) lol

You are just exercising you creativeness constructively. You are listening to your inner muse.

    How great!
