It's too short... help!

What a neat idea! But you have given me another idea... I am thinking about doing your pocket trick at the top, rather than on the bottom, and make quilted pocket sections for the remote, tissues, pencil and pad, etc. WOW, now that is exciting... we may have come up with a whole new concept! Thanks.

One year, I made flannel quilts as Christmas gifts for the family. On the back of each quilt, I added a large quilted pocket on the bottom edge. This way, cold feet could tucked into the pocket for warmth.

Got sick over Christmas! Bah Humbug! Feeling a little better today, but not great. Didn't know one could sneeze constantly for two days. Rudolph has nothing on me! LOL Will try to get a pix for you as soon as my head clears.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm in Florida and rarely need the warmth but just can't stand to have my feet uncovered! I spend my days in flip flops, but must have at least a sheet over them in bed or in my lounge chair. Go figure! LOL

I made a flannel rag quilt several years ago and it was just long enough to come to the tips of my toes so it didn't really keep my feet warm. I made a pocket at the bottom and it is wonderful. The pocket is about 12 inches deep and I love it!

This was going to be my suggestion also. Something that matches or coordinates with the backing and is good sized, maybe 14" square stitched to the backing would hold your feet and keep the quilt from pulling up.

I guess I am going to go simple.....I would add a fleece foot pocket at the end of the quilt. Then when you put it away for the summer, you can fold it and putit inside its own pocket like a Quillow!
