It's Virtual Quilt Day!! Today - Sunday, April 21, 2013

I now have 8 blocks for my string quilt done. Each one is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". I didn't get to sew today as long as I had hoped but I'm happy with 8. I also had to hem some curtains for a friend of mine so that cut into my quilting time. Oh well, 8 is a nice start.

My first VQD! Pieced the backing for my log cabin quilt and now I'm glue basting. Have about 2/3 of the batting glued down. Will finish tomorrow and glue the top. Then I can start FMQ'ing. Still not sure how I want to quilt it but I have a couple of ideas floating around in my head! Hope everyone gets their list accomplished today.

Been hand quilting all day long...About one third done...will continue on it this evening..would love to get it in the mail to the graduate by the end of the week...Have enough fabric left to make 2 coordinating pillowcases too!! Just going to have to google a pattern (can't be too hard!)

Sorry I wasn't able to quilt with all of you today but you have all done an amazing job. I took my Mom to church then my husband and I had lunch with her. Didn't get home til almost 3:00. Then ended up falling asleep in my chair. I was up til 1:00 last night removing quilting from a project I started a couple years ago. This week I have managed to get 26 blocks done for the Women of Courage quilt (BOM with LQS) and pieced a block for another BOM. Also caught up on my American Girl clothes for granddaughters. This is a wonderful idea and I love to see everyone's projects.
