I'm here today. I think I missed the previous VQD and glad to be with you today.
I have already sorted scraps while hunting for more scraps to put into the "Charming Additions" quilt. It is half complete:http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t219426.html
The third quarter is going to be finished today.
Here's what I have so far:

Have a good day everyone. Looking forward to seeing the accomplishments today.

Just getting back from an 8 day vacation. Plan to prewash the couple of yards of new fabric I found on my travels. Am working on a scrappy shabby-chic star quilt in soft colors. Hope to get a couple of blocks cut out and sewn today. Riding home yesterday was thinking that I had missed quilting for a whole week.

I started at 7am by deciding to put a border on my frog quilt. Put a narrow border of black and did wrong size seam . So I folded it In half and made a narrow flange. Then saw I had not done all the applique.
I started to sandwich by using the board method but had to roll instead. All done started quilting and didn't like threa and then I saw an applique not done.
Going to sit and rest and decide how to do applique and pik another thread

No quilting for me today, getting ready to work an 8 hr shift at cvs... the good news is that starting next month, I am only working one weekend a month rather than every other weekend - Hooray!!!!!

I am off to go grocery shopping and then home to spend the rest of the day quilting. I hope to get a lot of hand quilting done on my parents quilt and maybe do some pillows for a friend to celebrate her husband who died last month.

I need to finish sewing several QST and then start assembling them into blocks. They are all striped fabric so I can't use any of the fast production techniques to make the QST but after that it will go fast.

I will be spending the afternoon basting. I went to a quilt retreat a couple of weeks ago, so I have 3 tops from then that need to be basted. I'm trying to finish my UFOs, so I will baste a few of those as well. Hopefully I can get to quilting them this week!

New to this virtual quilting day, but I would like to join in. My daughter's good friend just had twins - a boy and a girl, how cool is that? Anyway I have loads of I Spy fabrics so I am making each baby a disappearing 4 patch quilt. I have 28 blocks done and would like to finish the other 22 as I am making these 25 blocks square. This has been a fun pattern and I look forward to pinning and quilting hopefully this week.
I am in the foothills of California and we are having another gorgeous 80 degree day. Skies are blue and it is 7:48 in the morning. Need to finish my coffee then off I go.
