Added the last row to a Warm Wishes top, then laid it out to look at and measure for borders. Sewed first border on all four sides and measured for next border. As I was pinning this one on, I noticed I had a block turned wrong. I ripped out the border, the row, the piece, turned it, and resewed everything. Then I spread the top out to see if I'd done that anywhere else. Sure enough! Four more turned wrong....nearly an entire row! I think it was my second row before I realized how these went together to form squares and somehow I had never noticed, even when the quilt was laid out on the floor so I could audition border fabric! Rip rip rip rip!
I've never made this many goofs on a quilt top before and I was amazed I made so many on what is a very simple pattern.

Didn't catch this thread until this morning. What inspiration! So many lovely projects. It really is like going to a quilt show and a home improvement show. Thank you everyone for sharing the eye candy.

OMG - I just looked at the clock and it is 1:00 PM - What on earth happened? I have been cleaning like a maniac since I woke up yesterday afternoon. I have fibromyalgia so I have to take frequent breaks, but I am chugging along. Just spent 6 hours folding fabric! And I am not done.
Thanks for the inspiration! I know I am not quilting, but I am doing what needs to get done to feel comfortable quilting, so it kind of fits. If I get brave enough to show how messy my house really was, I will post before and after pics later today.
Now - back to it!

Everyone's quilts look great! I was thwarted yesterday by a surprise visit from GN, but it was great to see her. I did get strips sewn and cut for a postage stamp swap, and extras for me. Now I'm on to cutting strips for a class next month.

So today was my Sunday! I worked in my sewing room most of all day trying to work down the scraps. I made many scrap strip blocks today and didn't make a dent in my scrap bag. SO perhaps a day late but got her done.
