That dragon quilt is gorgeous! I have family members who would love that. Fantasy readers/game players all!

I'd make your son's friend a dragon quilt, too. I'm a sucker for boys, anyway, and especially those who show appreciation and take care of the things I've made/given them. He'll be so thrilled, whichever pattern you choose. Please show us the results when you decide!

The quilt you made for you son is beautiful and you could make one similar to that one and I'm sure your son's friend would love it.

I love the dragon quilt you made for your son. Its awesome! Like others have said here I would make another just like it or similar. The design of that quilt is perfect for that panel.

Thanks for all the complements! I think the idea of plain sashing around the dragons and using simple blocks will be good. Maybe just two dragons facing each other? Also like the idea of having my son get involved in the design process.

BTW, I imagine you have all guessed by now that my son and his friends are gamers! I also asked if he was a nerd or a geek and he said he's a nerd that geeks are more technical. LOL Now I know the difference! My DH is a geek and my sons are nerds!
