Such a lovely quilt - well done to the person that made it - I love love handquilting and feel quite jealous that you have been asked to do it, what you are doing is going to make it look wonderful. Happy quilting.

Once again Don - you have taken on a challenge that i cannot even imagine. "RESPECT" is the only word i can think of. Best of good luck on this project....this winter is starting off cold enough - hope this quilt helps keep you warm while you stitch !! I know you will but PLEASE share the final result with us.
PS..sorry....but i could not do this if someone offered me a million dollars !! Wish i could.

This looks the same as a quilt I inherited , same size blocks and fabrics from the 30's and 40's. Your work is beautiful and will be appreciated..
Someone hand quilted mine for me ( she didn't piece quilts but loved to do the quilting) I would be ashamed to tell you what she charged.

Good for you to hand quilt. I love hand quilting. It isn't the fastest way to do things, but the process itself tends to slow me down from my hectic day to day pace. I love the rhythmic flow of making the stitches, and feel a real connection to the quilt I'm doing. As far as doing it for someone else. WOW! I will never live long enough to get all the ones for family that I want to complete, so admire anyone who can take on a project like that.
Good luck to you.
