Oh I'm going to try your plastiic trick....I have a piece just the right size too!
I had read that you can do the same with parchment paper but have to tape tape tape it down otherwise it will rip.

I've only done very basic, straight stitch quilting on my sewing machine but would love to try some FMQ. I'm a little scared but I guess I need to just get in there and try it. I've got to research this slider thingy. I clicked on the link for it but I want to see how it actually works. You tube, here I come.

Has anyone found a tutorial for the "slider thing". I still don't know what it is!

Another thing that helps is wearing my rubber grip gloves. And I went to Joann's bought a thick gauge clear vinyl. Then made my own Supreme Slider. That has made all the difference with FMQ. Woohoo!
My edit: Now I just feel like staying home and quilting...do I really want to go to work ...A Big Fat NO!!
That sounds so neat---now for this supreme slider--using vinyl---I have some of that stuff---how do you accomplish it? I have tried my hand at FMQ not the best---always looking for more helps.
