I have been through the "no motivation" periods but with time the drive will return. Take it easy and enjoy other thngs in life for awhile.

It happens, and when it happens, simply go with the flow. And before you'll be back to quilting!

The same thing has happened to me!! My husband bought me a Handiquilter sweet 16 & I have hardly quilted on it at all since I got it last year! He just had foot surgery so I am in the house with him 24 hrs now. I have put together a baby quilt & am determined to quilt it even if I die trying!! The want to is there but I am really intimadated by my new plaything & I can't believe I can't just dive in & do it!! But I'm hoping!!

I found that making charity quilts helped me get back on track. I have made quilts for Foster Children and quilts for veterans in nursing homes. Ask at your local quilt shops where there is a need.

When I am completely uninspired, I sew scraps together or squares together--just to use them up as it takes no thinking or real skill other than just sewing accurately. (I have a lot of already cut squares of various sizes).
