Default I've lost the "thread"! ;)

Hello QB, it's been quite a while since I've been here, posted or looked around. So much has happened since last I posted, it makes my head spin...however, I *think* there's something I originally found here, and I can't locate the thread or tutorial - I've checked my subscribed threads, etc. It's just a simple string-type quilt, sewn on adding machine paper, then made into blocks with some simple additions. I've attached a picture of the blocks I probably made while I was still posting here, and of course I left myself no clues. Any ideas of where to find the original post for *this block* - not just the how-to on creating adding machine tape strings pieces" - I would be most grateful. Googling the block itself didn't get me anywhere so far. I only just recalled it might have been one of our group here that created it, so here's hoping! Thanks so much!

Found these through Pinterest. One shows measurements, but you don't say what size your blocks are.

Here are a few older threads from this board to search through....some are many pages long...
String Piecing on adding machine paper

https://www.quiltingboard.com/vbulle...s-t217552.html (pictures on the last page here)

I don't get what the 'reciept' is for when making string quilts

    https://www.quiltingboard.com/vbulle...t-t219583.html

there are a lot more and to make your search even more fun, many of the threads regarding using adding machine tape are listed under scrappy or scrap or even string and variations of that
    good luck!

    Edit:
I'm curious....how long since you posted last?
there is an archive section here on the board -way at the bottom on the tan border down there- that may be of use if you can guess an aproximate date...

OH my gosh, you *found* it! Which would be wonderful if the Blogspot page was still online...oh darn!
I might just scrap these blocks (haha, I know) and begin on something new. I'm not 'in love' with the ones I had made back then. Maybe I can get my brain to figure out which method I used tomorrow. But WOW - I'm impressed with how quickly you found it! I spent a bunch of time getting nowhere on Pinterest in the last few days.
Thanks so much for the effort!

Thanks so much, 1Charm -I did come up with a few of those links searching here too... yes, it does get messy when it's call 'string quilt block' as well as all the others, lol.
I guess it's been about 2+ years since I posted - but it seems SO much longer. Pretty much everything in my life has changed since then...so it feels like 12 years. Thanks for the reminder of the archive! I'd forgotten that feature!

I believe it was called String X block. Here's a link to Danke's quilt.
    April Showers, a string-x quilt
Unfortunately the blog she referred to is gone.

Edit: Just found another tutorial for the block.
You will have to check if the dimensions correspond
to your block. Might have to make a few adjustments.

Yes!! Thank you so much! My search skills have been out to shame! EasyPeasy, you're a sweetheart, thank you! ❤️.
I'm going to pdf the page so I don't lose it again. This was supposed too be a quick, simple palate cleanser between quilt projects, heh!
