I don't have daughters, but 2 sons. They love it that I'm sewing and buying stuff. One even brought me an old sewing machine from an estate sale. They replace electric cords for me. BUT, if they said something I would probably have a fit, and they don't want to see THAT! LOL. Besides that, I cook their lunch every day.ha.

Tell her it is not a disease, it is a sheer pleasure buying fabric so indulge mom and let her be happy! Tell her you are doing your fair share for helping the economy - that's what I tell my dear hubby!

My DDs may be here when a fabric or thread package arrives but they never say anything other then it's pretty or ask what am I making with it. I can't imagine them saying I have enough or too much or why I would need more.

Jcrow - you are so right! My daughters are 32 and 29 and try never to go to a fabric store with me - and I leave my husband in the car if he happens to be with me. And those special deliveries that arrive from time to time - I wash them and take them straight to my sewing room, because when I do show them to the family (if they are around when the packages arrive) there is the glassy stare and no interest. But they do admire the finished projects - so I just don't bother them with the details.
