Jan Krentz workshop
Haas anyone taken any of the workshops by Jan Krentz? I am thinking of taking one ( the quick starburst class) but am unsure if it would be " too complicated" for a confident beginner. Any advice or comments?

I have never taken her class but that is a very striking quilt, lots of pieces to cut http://www.jankrentz.com/workshops-supply.php?ID=32 I think taking her class would be a good idea as she will probably give you lots of hints for sewing with the bias edges.

I took a class from her through my guild, and she was a delightful teacher. In that particular class she was teaching a technique that I hadn't used, and probably won't use again (it just wasn't my cup of tea), but I still felt the class was fun and I learned something from it.

I have never taken a class from Jan but would in a heartbeat if I could. I found this document about the class and supplies needed. Read it carefully until you understand it as best you can. If the class is being given in a quilt shop, they will help you pick out fabrics. Do NOT let the list and info overwhelm you. Just breathe and enjoy the class and don't worry if you don't get through with the project that day. Just make sure you understand the technique. http://www.jankrentz.com/workshops-supply.php?ID=32
Thought you might like some eye candy. Not all of these are starburst but I think this will give you some ideas about color and pattern combinations. If I lived in SC, I would think about taking this class with you.
