Does anyone have a Janome 1600 and are you happy with it?
My friend is interested in it to use a a regular sewing machine (without frame). Does it have variable speed?

I have two Janomes, a 6000 series quilter and a 730 Gold. Love both of them and they both have variable speed. Don't know about the 1600 but if you go to the Janome website I bet they could tell you.
