My computer went kapoot and I got a new tower. Now I am trying to download something onto the card on my Scandisk and nothing works. Anyone have any ideas. HELP

You may need to change the drive letter you are saving to.
You can open windows explorer by right clicking on the windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen. Then look to see what the drive letter is for your sandisk.

So... when you look at your sandisk in explorer, can you see and/or open any files that are already on it?

No - except for the ones that came with the machine, but nothing on the card. I tried to format it and - it doesn't seem to do that. Isn't a file or something supposed to come up.

Oh, one more thing. Am I supposed to have something to put on the computer so the card will format. Does that make sense. I am not very much up on computer stuff.

When the sandisk is plugged into the computer, open My Computer via the start menu, and make sure first of all that your computer is reading that there is another drive there. Depending how many drives you have on yur computer as to what letter it will come up with. Mine comes up with J: as my adaptor has 5 drives on it.

Double click that drive, and a file will come up, and if you double click that file, thereis another, cant think what its called but it has about 4 letters. All yuor embroiderys must go into this file when downloading from the computer onto your sandisk. If they are not in this second file, the 300e will not see them.

Also make sure te sandisk is pugged into the adaptor properly, and then theat teh adaptor is pluggedin properly to the machine

is there a format option on your 300e for your sandisk? If so, reformat on the 300e. It does look like it doesnt do anything, as nothing will come up it just sits there.

Let me know how you go, and what you see if you try these out,

Got my disposal in - they had to run electric wires from beneath the house, etc.
Anyway - this is where I am right now. I can find things on the card when it is on the computer, but when I put the card in the sewing machine - I can't find ANYTHING. I wonder - would it help if I bought a new little square card and just started over. Could the one I have been damaged? I thought about this all thru the night I think - it seemed like it anyway.

Oh, my - now Ohio State football is on - playing Purdue today. Then as soon as it is over, we are going shopping so think I will just get a new disc and start from scratch.
