Default Janome 6260, automatic needle threader..

Of 5 machines this is, by far, my favorite. However, I chipped a piece of the plastic point off and I can't see to thread manually. Son is picking up a new one in the morning - will I have a problem installing/replacing. I looked at the one on my Janome Embroidery machine, but I can't tell. I panicking because I'm in the middle of my grandson's wedding quilt. None of the other sewing machines have threaders.
Hopefully, the replacement comes with instructions.
Just venting, I guess. Thanks for listening

I broke my threader on my Janome right after I got it and they replaced it while I was at a class. Took less than 5 minutes. I don't think you need to worry. Good luck with the repair and hope it isn't too expensive. (Mine was under warranty.) It took me awhile to get used to it and I was always starting to sew with it pulled down. Glad I got over that bad habit!!!

Broke mine right after I got my Horizon. Just thread it myself. I don't like the way it worked anyway. I have the 10000 and it is automatic. I like that better too!! Good luck

I had mine replaced and it took just a minute. It's an easy fix. I have a handy little tool from Fons and Porter that makes it very easy to thread your needle. I keep it around just in case! Here's a link:

Of course, I got mine at Joann (online) with a coupon, so it was less.
