    I also have the 6600 and I love the machine except for the fact that it not always pulls the bobbin thread up when I do the needle up down.I thought it was because I was using invisible thread on top but it does it when it feels like it! I then have to open the bobbin up and rethread. I have tried having needle up and that doesn't always help. Anyone else have this problem? Dee

    I never use the thread cutter. I use a stubby or whatever you want to call it.
    I keep all kinds of those small strips when I'm cutting fabric and keep it in
    a jar just for that. Every time I start and stop sewing there's the little strip of
    fabric under the needle. It also saves thread that way and you don't get any
    jamming, etc.

    I keep a place for pins on both sides of my machine so that regardless of whethere I pull them out with my left or right hand the pin cushion is right there,
    As to the lights the LED lightso that stick up under your harp are invaluable and really easy to set up.

    guess I didn' t explain it very well.What EasyPeasy says would work for piecing but I am doing applique.
