Janome 6600 start button sticking

My Janome 6600 start button is sticking.. or at least that is my diagnosis

has any one else had this problem?

I know I need to get it to the dealer, but the thought of being without my baby is hard

is there quick home remedy?

I have a Janome 6600 and have not had any trouble with that button. I also need to take my machine in for a general all over check but don't want to be without it for 2 to 3 days. Sorry I can't help you but I know everyone on this QB is so knowledgeable and someone will come to your rescue. Maybe you could google it and get some info on the problem. Good luck

Have you tried cleaning it? I would take a very fine needle and run it around the button..if you get a lot of gunk, then keep doing it until it's clean again.

thats a good idea.. I will try that. Can't hurt right??
