I have finally got my new sewing machine out of the box and started using it. It is wonderful! At first, when I used the thread cutter, it worked fine, but during the past couple of days it cuts off the thread so short that I have to rethread the needle and take the bobbin cover off and pull out some bobbin thread so that the thread can come up through the hole.

BTW the sewing I am doing on it is a Tube Quilt! finally started it!!!

If your tension is too tight it will rip it out of the needle...love the machine hope you like it too :)

I had the same problem with my Brother ps1500! Every time I used the thread cutter, it would unthread. I was beyond frustrated. I found the solution! I was threading the needle wrong! I threading right to left like the manual showed but after looking closely, it has to be threaded left to right. And another thing, the way the thread is coming off the bobbin makes a difference! Mine has to be coming off counterclock wise if I turn the bobbin around the cutter will unthread the needle. That solved my problem. It could be worth a try for you.
