Default Janome DC2011?? Anybody have one???

I have a friend who has asked me to find out if anyone here is familiar with the Janome DC2011 sewing machine. She topped by the dealer's today to look at them, but would feel better if she had someone who had one or had sewn on one long term. She'd rather buy with recommendations that not know anything at all about the machine.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I have one, and it's great. Nothing fancy...just a good basic machine for a reasonable price. I got it because the cost for the machine was about the same as the cost for fixing the one I took to the shop for repair (a 30 year old Singer). I haven't had any trouble since I got it in August. I don't do anything but stitch in the ditch, though.

I love mine! Have never had any issues not operator-related! It is a great workhorse. I have FMQed many times with no issues (although I find it works better for me with the feed dogs up). Great machine for the money.

I have the DC2010 (which is the exact same machine...just a different color and accessories). I purchased it in April and I love it. I was offered free sewing classes for life from the dealer and am amazed at what it can do (even though I've just used it so far for basic sewing and piecing). I purchased it to replace my old Walmart Brother machine...so it is an upgrade!
