I own the 6600 and my GF's all own the 7700. While theirs is pretty, it's twice the price and I would not use all the extra stitches.

My dealer advised me to not go with the 7700. Too new and the kinks havent been worked through. I appreciate her frankness. I couldnt justify the price for very little difference from my 6600 which I love. Besides, it wouldnt have fit in my Horn cabinet or in my Tutto plus just too darn heavy, but the main thing is the table situation.

I went from a fairly basic 30 year old Janome to the Horizon so can't comment on the 6600. But, I do love the Horizon and would buy it again in a heartbeat. I don't mind the joggle dial at all, although I've not had the other option where you feed in the stitch number. It's great to have the features on it for if and when I need them. Needless to say, it will probably be my last machine so to me it was worth it.
I'm sure you will enjoy yours too

I really do appreciate all the input. I know I will enjoy it. I plan on taking some lessons. I've had a Janome DC 3018 for several years that I really do like a lot. I did want to upgrade. I think this will be a wonderful machine. :)

I have both and love them both. I'd take the Horizon over the 6600 for the additional space and superior FMQing.

They do both weigh the same.
