Go to a Dollar store and pick up a pair of magnifying glasses. Just don't forget you have them on when you get up.

No Geri B, you weren't wishing; I think I bought one at Nancy's Notions years ago; but it won't stay on my machine. It attaches with a sticky back and the magnifier pops off and on. I think it came with 2 bases so you could switch it to another machine. So they are out there. They might stick better to metal machines; most these days though are plastic. I don't know if you cleaned the area with alcohol before attaching the base would work or not; don't know what alcohol would do to the plastic. Good luck joan3111

I have the same one sewnclog mentioned, I think. It's called Magnistitch. It did come with two mounting plates so you can move it between machines. I use it off and on as I don't always need it for what I am sewing ... yet! It is much cheaper than the Big Look but from the looks of the Big Look, it is probably not as great due to size perhaps. Not sure since I have not used or seen in person a Big Look.

Hmm, when it comes to me seeing better if it is better lighting or magnification I'm all for it. I love the Big Look. My guild contacted the seller and we got a big discount on them if we had ten orders. We had 31 orders. It works great for anyone doing beading, crocheting, needlework, making fishing lures and ties, model crafts, miniatures, and it's a life saver for me doing hand applique. You don't have to use it on a machine.
