    I don't know if it will help the OP, but I'm glad you posted that Anne Marie. That's an excellent idea about running the machine with the cover off to pinpoint where the sound is coming from.

    Good idea ... however before anyone does this, they should check about their warranty.

    For some companies, the warranty can become null and void if the consumer opens the machine up.
