    Default Janome MC9700

I have had this machine for about 3 years. I have decided today to try the embroidery part. After cleaning the machine . I have switched it on the screen shows as in picture. Touch scroon not working on off button not working no movement on machine on needle at all. What do I need to do? How do I get in contact with the brilliant person with machines. Tried janome don't understand their forum layout

    Dottymo,
    1. When was the last time you used the machine for anything?
    2. Have you tried unplugging the machine and then plugging it back in?
    3. Is your foot pedal plug pushed in all the way?
    4. My dealer is really good about walking me through issues...have you called yours?
    5. Try the Yahoo! Janome 9700 group. Someone on there may have the answer.

    Good luck?

I have that Machine. You have to touch the Embroidery Icon. The icon that shows the machine with the hoop. The second icon on the left. Not sure what screen you are in. Looks like a behind the scenes screen.

I am happy to help. I hav had the 9700 since 2006.

Sandy your info didn't work but I played about pushing buttons and switched off and on. It has done a self help programme check for me and I switched it off after that and at present working. I am going to make a small boxy bag to try it out.
    Thank for your help.
The question you asked about how long since used? Well about 12 months may be slightly longer. I put this away and kept the lighter bernina 440 out. I had 2 operations last year a bone removed from wrist and a tvt ladder tape. For both after could not lift heavy obje ST this is the first time I've tried lifting the machine. Live on my own so no
Body to do these things for me.

Thank you will be back if I have problems . My dealer. Not that brilliant a friend was left after a service with the bobbin area full of fluff and she paid £45 for that. .the other one doesnt really like janome retails in singer but will purchase other machines. P

Ps it is not working on the foot pedal this no problem as I rarely use it.

I just use straight stitch machines.
I'm glad you got it working.
