I have the Janome foot which can do 1/4" and stitch-in-ditch. I LOVE the 1/4" foot but when I screw in the SID flange I just can't get lined up so it actually sews in the ditch. It always seems about 1/16- 1/32 off.
In the end I have gone back to using my walking foot which is all clear plastic and easy to line up.

I have a ditch attachment that fits onto my walking foot like a quilting guide. It's clear plastic and too easy to lose focus, but I colored the bottom on the sides--not the edge that touches fabric--with a thin red Sharpie pen and it works a charm! I do adjust my stitch position to allow a thread or two wiggle-room. Much better than trying to eyeball it with trifocals.

I have a stitch in the ditch foot for my Janome, but my walking foot does not take attachments, so it is used for attaching the front side of flange binding.

I have a stitch in the ditch attachment for my Janome 6600 MC but haven't used it yet and it does not look like the one in the video. Guess I will have to make a wall hanging and try my attachment out.
