i have the 6600 and platinum 760..would not trade them for anything! if i could afford it i would buy the 7700. but never trade up!
your bobbin should not be bouncing around..you should take the machine to the dealer and let them run it,to see what is going on.
I only use Janome bobbins. i know everyone has different opinions and experiences, but my friend has an older model new home, and used the off brand bobbins for years, and she had a bad wear mark in the racer, or bobbin holder..had to replace that part. the dealer told her, to use only janome bobbins.
they may look the same, laying side by side..but if i close my eyes and ran my fingers over them, you will find one bobbin is concave and one is flat.
i took all my non Janome bobbins and gave them to a friend who has a singer...

I agree with everyone on only using Janome bobbins in your machine. Also, have you considered that the thread you are using may be the problem? It is definitely a possibility. If you are getting alot of lint try a different brand like Mettler or Gutermann. Good Luck.

I have a Brother Laura Ashley Innovis 2000 and LOVE it (6 months old)! I also have a Janome 3160QDC which had to be replaced after 5 repairs in 6 months (2010). It was a problem with the bobbin casing and I finally asked for a replacement for the lemon.
Of equal importance to getting the features that you want is purchasing from a dealer who KNOWS the machine!

I have a friend who is not happy with her Janome either. I have a Brother and I love it. No problems at all.

Of course this is a trade in and up (more money). I am very tempted to do this trade. What can you all tell me about the Brother Isadore?

I just got a Brother Laura Ashley and absolutely love it. I have a Baby Lock Elisimo and a Bernina 730 E so I just use the Brother for sewing and have had no problems. Just got done with a jacket made out of minky with no problems at all.

I have 4 Janomes and love them all...I have the 6500 for everyday sewing...1600 for quilting...a platinum jem for travel and my hubby just got me the 350e, embroidery machine(still learning to use it)...sounds like you got a lemon and a dealer who won't take care of you. Sorry...because they are good machines.
