Great job, I never considered making one of these because I wasn't happy with the way the strips looked but your way is so much more pleasing to the eye. I will definitely be making one very soon.

This is an old thread but I'm glad Arianna brought it back.

Grannytx: Mahalo for the mini-tutorial. I love the first quilt you made cutting the strips into halves and thirds. I wish I'd seen it before I made four of these quilts for Christmas 2013 for my grandkids in their favorite colours.

What have you made since your post? *LOL* You aren't a newbie any more!

I know this thread was started a long time ago, but I found a photo of the first quilt on Pinterest, and pinned it because I love it! Thank you GrannyTX for posting pics of your beautiful quilts and giving details. I like the jelly roll racer quilts, but I don't care for the long strips. I love the way you have used smaller strips to make it look more scrappy. I am about to start making my first big quilt, and I am going with this idea. Thanks!

I have a jelly roll on my sewing table..already cut in half strips...this gave me the inspiration to cut some into smaller strips AND use the dryer to mix... I want scrappy but I was still driving myself crazy trying to decide how to sort... Love your quilts!
