I did a slew of these for Christmas presents and just marveled each time one was done to see how they came out. My favorite was from a jelly roll of black and white fabric to which I added a few strips of Beatles black and with with color (cartoonish - yellow submarine inspired) and it came out so fun. I don't border mine but use binding from whatever I back the quilt with. The black/white/Beatles one I used a marbled bright blue for the back and the binding and it was super. Also did one in Christmas prints which came out so cute.

Those sound so cute! I am thinking of using the white with orange swirls for the back, and brown binding. But not sure yet.

Where did you ever find Jelly Rolls for such a great price. Even the ones I bought a good while ago were a lot more than that!!

I got them as a daily deal at fabricnquilts.com. I happened upon the store while looking for Moda dealers on their site. I got the rolls in like 2 days. She shipped the next day.
