Thats myh question too Baloonatic....I've made QAYG table runner using strips but the batt and the back are not cut, sew the strips to the batt, fold over, press, lay the next strip...it will work up fast and only need binding when finished. You can do the same thing on a quilt, I don't think I would try mak,ing a queeen quilt this way but for a throw, or baby quilt this method should work fine.

Quilt is finished and I took it to guild today for show and tell and to ask someone to take picture of it to send to me. My camera is messed up and the pictures from my Iphone are not wanting to download to my computer. Always something. I'll buy a new camera next time I'm at WalMart. No problem other then it was bulky to sew. Cutting the batting strips was easy, the batting was folded in a roll so I just used a ruler and cut 2" strips like I would for fabric. I got very long strips of batting. I used the batting tape to make one long strip. I decided to not cut backing strips but to use another jelly roll. The quilt is now reversible! It took sewing the 1600 strip twice but that's all the extra time that was involved. I machined stitched the binding and I was done. I knew it would work and I was trying to over think it. I just did it the way I was seeing it in my mind.
