Just think of all the ugly fabric we could find a use for! The photos are beautiful.
I'm making one right now but mine is rectangular. Freckles- you use batting cut the same way as the strips. I bought some ready cut but next time I'll probably just cut my own.

I think you’d have to put some of that non slip stuff underneath. Mine are laying on carpet. The one is covering my long arm cord that lays across the floor.

I timed myself on the multi colored oval rug. I had the batting strips cut (from leftover batting pieces). It took me 5 hours and 5 minutes from start to finish. I time things....I’m weird that way. LOL

I've never thought I wanted to make a rug, but have changed my mind when I saw your rugs. Am rethinking this. Lovely rugs.

I watched the video a couple days ago and thought it to be a fun project. It does look like it would take a bit of fussy work preparing it for sewing though. I am not so sure about the washing instructions and I have not even thought about the backing. But, I do have some of the waffle non-skid in the garage.

The cord under a rug could cause a fire. I am just saying, that is what I always have heard.
