I use double-folded bias (I cut my own) and I press it in half. It's much easier to control as you pin it to your quilt. I use empty paper towel holders/toilet tissue empty rolls (a tip I got off a post on the QB!) and unroll it as I pin it to the quilt. And, it doesn't seem to stretch even though it's cut on the bias! Just MHO!

I recently started doing this to for the same reason. It molds around edge nice, not a lot of clips or pins needed.

I always iron mine in half. Guess I got that from somewhere but have been doing it for so long I can't remember where. Recently I started rolling my binding like a jelly roll and laying it on my machine next to my right hand. It works great. Doesn't get tangled and doesn't fall on the floor.

I, too, use a toilet paper roll but I threaded an old piece of binding through it, tied it off and it hangs in front of my sewing machine. I don't pin or clip so it rolls off as I line it up and sew. I've never had it stretch or curl.

Super tip, thanks for sharing. I still like the way Quilt Finger on Craftsy teaches. The article is free to download. Since I switched to her method I have the nicest 45 degree corners. Usually anything Jenny Doan says I'm right there, but this time I have to go with Quilt Finger.

Do you have a link to this article? I couldn't find it but I am not familiar with the site. Thanks. Phyllis
